Association Committee Member, Chris ‘Meat’ Ryan, visited 3210 SC veteran Des Spruce on December 16th to take him a bottle of Christmas ‘cheer’ and a TSW book and mug. Des was really chuffed with his TSW 50th Anniversary mug, and he even had his coffee and Baileys in it.

Chris went on to say

“It was good to see him looking so well and up for telling some stories. I asked Des what’s the secret to a long life, his reply was to do everything you’re not supposed too. At 101 years of age I’ll take that advice!

What an absolute diamond of a gent, his recollection and the stories he tells with a glint in his eye and a smile on his face”.
