On 20th April 2011, Association Treasurer, Tim Newstead, gave a presentation to the RAF Historical Society Ground Support of Air Operations Seminar, which was held at the RAF Museum Hendon; Tim was accompanied by Servicing Commando members Alan McQuillin and Ernie Deighton.  The seminar was chaired by Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Alcock and included presentations on the Airfield Construction Branch, RAF Regiment Anti-Aircraft Defence, Repair and Salvage, and Mobile Photographic Support.  Tim’s presentation was entitled ‘The RAF Servicing Commando 1942-1946’.  A copy of the script will be published in the RAF Historical Society Journal in due course; copies of the PowerPoint slide presentation and script are also available from the Treasurer/Webmaster.
