After a lot of thought, before the AGM I made the decision due to my failing health, mostly due to old age so I can’t complain too much, to stand down from my role as Welfare Secretary after 9 years. It has been an honour in serving you all in this role and setting up the Welfare Team who have been a fantastic support to me in the role so I’d like to thank them all for their assistance. None of us were professionally trained but together we managed to sign post people to where they would get best professional help. I don’t think we did too bad a job.
I’m sure moving forward Kev and the committee have some ideas how to move the team forward and will let us all know in the fullness of time.
Until then if anyone has any welfare concerns please contact the Association.
All that’s left is for me and Louisa to spend even more time holidaying and going to concerts while we are still able to, sorry if we fill up our Facebook Timeline but oh well.
So my Wing Family I hope to see you all again soon and thank you everyone.

As an after thought, having met the 3 young LAC’s who attended the Presidents Dinner all I can say is the Wing and the Association is going to be in good hands. It was a pleasure to meet you gentlemen.
