Steve died suddenly from heart failure whilst at home on 7th November 2021. He was a larger than life character. Loved and respected by all that knew him.
He originally served in the RAF regiment before re-mustering to supply. Naturally with his regiment background Steve found himself at home serving with the Wing out in the gulf during Op Granby, where he received an AOC’s commendation for outstanding work. His career also saw him on an Ops tour in Northern Ireland.
His funeral will be on the 13th December at 11.30 with a service at St Anne’s roman catholic church Manchester M47EQ, followed by committal at Blackley Crematorium, Manchester M98Oj at 13.00hrs. The wake will be at the Corner Shop pub in Rylance Street Manchester M113NA.
All are welcome and his family have requested a military theme so uniform if serving and blazer, beret and medals ( if you have) for associate members. Family flowers only please

A voice of distinction, a wry smile and stories full of jest
A war veteran, wearing his combats, shades and bergen like only Stevie can,
AOC, a commendation for outstanding service, the measure of the man
Stevie loved his music, photos, feet up, a cheeky rum and coke
He had an endearing touch of madness, a complicated bloke,
He could put himself to one side for the benefit of others
He loved to connect, recollect, forever the band of brothers
An intense thinker, with a smoke in hand and a ‘proper’ brew
