Very sad to hear about the untimely death of John McMurdo. We were on Strike Wing Akrotiri together with Jim Coleman. I met him at various times and places throughout my service. A really nice good guy and will be sadly missed. RIP Jock.

i have only recently found my fathers service history–LAC 1417563 William Keayes. He served with 3205 SCU from its forming in 1943 until end of February 1946. he was of dark complexion with a hair lip and moustache to cover it and around 5' 7'' tall and seemingly quite thin. This is my second time of asking if any one has any reminiscences of him with 3205 and i appreciate that time and memories are all passing. If anyone can help at all mybrother and sisters would be very grateful. Our deepest respects to those that served with all of the SCU'sMichael Keayes

It is with great sadness that I have to advise that my dear Dad Joe died on 26th May 2012 aged 46. He served with 3205/3208 comandos and whilst extremely private and modest, remained very proud to be part of this great service. My brothers and I miss him greatly.

Operation Corporate was launched this day 30 years ago. Wing members deployed to Ascension island and with the Task Force. A number, such as Jim Coleman and George Boother saw action under fire. All returned safely. However some such as George and Adam Byers are no longer with us. We should remember them all.Duncan Grant

What a great time we enjoyed once again at the reunion, so good to meet with friends who served with 'Dave' in 3207SC. Many thanks to everyone involved in ensuring we all enjoyed ourselves so much. Premier Inn 'Hurricane' proved a commendable alternative to Tillington Hall.

Hi there, I am a Canadian Air Force officer doing research regarding all RCAF personnel who served in the Second World War. To be honest, I had never heard about the RAF Servicing Commando units until very recently, but the stories are fascinating! I was wondering if anyone would know if there were any RCAF personnel in the RAF Servicing Commandos? If there were, would it be possible to gent a list of names, initials, ranks, service numbers somewhere? I would be grateful for any assistance in identifying any known Canadian connection. I can be contacted at paradiefred@yahoo.ca and look forward to hearing anything about these personnel. Thanks in advance, Per Ardua Ad Astra. Captain Fred Paradie, Canadian Air Force
